10th Annual Summer Reading Club Sponsored by Sandra Pihos

(posted 6/20/2012) - Representative Pihos’ Summer Reading Club challenges Kindergarten to 5th grade students (but children of all ages are welcome) to read 8 different books of their own choosing during their summer break.

Reading is the best way for children to stimulate their imaginations and Representative Pihos encourages every child to join her club.

Once a student who wishes to participate completes the reading, Representative Pihos asks that they fill out the accompanying form, have a parent, guardian or family member attest to their reading and return it to her office by August 20th.

All children who have completed the Summer Reading Challenge are invited to participate in a family pizza and ice cream party hosted by Representative Pihos on Friday, September 7 - 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Glenn Westlake Middle School, 1514 S. Main St., Lombard. Awards will be given at 7:15 p.m. with entertainment to follow.

Here is a link to a PDF file which when printed becomes the form to be filled out and either mailed or hand delivered to representative Pihos' office in Glen Ellyn.
